Green my Ride is IS a powerful tool that will add extra earning power to individual licensed drivers!
It is NOT an alternative taxi/private hire circuit.
In over 25 years of driving as a hackney carriage driver I have noticed many changes in the industry and some things that never change.
Most concerning for drivers is that more of us are chasing fewer jobs and whilst large circuits are growing, individual drivers have to work longer and longer hours to cover their overheads.
Fuel has reached prices that are so high that conservation is crucial not only because of financial cost, but also because of cost to the environment.
Furthermore, taxi drivers often take the rap for crimes committed by unlicensed or illegally operated ‘mini-cabs’, causing the public to distrust us and our service, and not want to use it.
In fact, recent figures have shown that 60% of the public never use cabs.
We can change this!
With you, the professional drivers, we can create and attract more work and get the public on side. Our actions are going to get people buzzing!

My colleagues and I have spent the past 18 months researching this problem and believe we have solutions that can rationalise the taxi industry and make it sustainable into the future.
In order to do this we need, not only fully licensed drivers and vehicles, but conscientious drivers, to see what we are offering, and to see how we can increase their earnings.
We have been backed by UNLTD* with grants from the Millennium Fund to bring this to you.
Our belief is that ‘Green my Ride’ is the way forward for both licensed drivers and the public, allowing both to have control over their transport goals.
Anonymity is not our aim as we will NOT be using faceless websites with unknown drivers but the opposite......A high profile business, and software that allows the public to know exactly who will be driving them and in what vehicle.
